Alder-person Shimpach motions to deny special assessments

Portage - Amid some push back Alder-person Eric Shimpach motions to deny special assessments for the Conant St street project.
Shimpach commits to taking to legislative committee to end special assessments. Alder-person Martin Havlovic suggests the city place leans on homes on these projects and require homeowner to reimburse the city upon selling the home. Alder-person Dennis Nachreiner said he could not support the motion by Shimapch stating more conversation is needed.
