City Engineer addresses public after water service interruption.

Columbus - City engineer Jason Lietha addressed the public during the comment period at the July 25th council meeting. After a initial water service interruption was repaired a additional leak started upon restoring service. Total time for the repair was 38 hours.

Parts, additional equipment and help from other communities was needed. Lietha stated most the water main in Columbus is between 50 and 100 years old, it fails.
